HOW TO PLAYBACK VISIONPLUS HDR  For Computer Playback  1)Download MPC-HC Latest Release 2)Install MadVR 3)Install Lav Filters 4)Install a suitable codecs pack including HEVC/H.265 Decoder. Configuration for MPC-HC and MadVR  HDR Playback converting HDR signal to SDR *** THIS IS HOW HDR TV'S DISPLAY HDR *** Let's do things easier. Start with MadVR high nits and tone down until you find good image: 1) In MadVR select Convert HDR content to SDR using pixel shader math. NITS always depends on your panel. I recommend starting with 1000 as shown on the video recorded below. *Samsung SUHD 2016 Line Up has got 1000 nits peak. Oled's about 640 nits maximum peak. Most VA Panels goes from 600 to 900 nits peak. You get an idea on what to select. 2) On HDR options select "Preserve Hue 0% and Compress Highlights. DO NOT touch anything else. 3) On MadVR Display Calibration section select Pure Power Curve 2.15 and BT. 2020 Gamut . ( This is important ). DISABLE GPU GAMMA RAMPS. 4) On MadVR Color & Gamma choose Contrast-30 and Saturation +20 5)Select DirectX 11 FullScreen Exclusive on MadVR Rendering Section. 6)In LAV Filter Select P010 and CPU Only Decoding for 10-bit output. ( right click - filters - LAV Video ) THIS IS A VIDEO RECORDED WITH ABOVE SETTINGS IN 1000 NITS MADVR   I think that video shows how you can make it look up to your tastes. *For Watching the " full HDR output of the movie " you must Select 3000 and up Nits. Without compressing highlights and Preserve Hue on 0% or Disabled if you go up 3500 nits. Higher Nits on MadVR makes details on light sources be a lot better, clouds on the horizon, sky details and so on. Higher Nits means Higher Range on the movie, but needs higher nits displays. To avoid the limitation of your displays just turn up brightness, gamma on MadVR and also try on your TV. This way you get 100% HDR imagery.   This way you see the whole HDR range and color won't be changed by MadVR Lower Nits compression. Though you need to use TV Dynamic Mode as mandatory or image is going to be kind of weak brightness with common TV presets.* For TV Playback  Stream is SMPTE 2084, you can playback from any HDR capable TV directly from USB, though 10k nits video could be tricky with commercial HDR TV presets.
