AV1-encoded files are usually around 30% smaller than HEVC x265, and 50% smaller than AVC x264, at the same quality. The table above shows quality at mean, 75th, 25th and 1st percentiles of frames, using Netflix's VMAF perceived quality algorithm. Improvement above 93 is considered imperceptible for film contents. All of our torrents target a mean VMAF around 94 and 25th percentile no lower than 91.
